What is a Virtual Assistant?
OK so the number one question I get asked.... what is a Virtual Assistant?!
So here is a brief explanation... a Virtual Assistant is a self-employed worker who specialises in administrative services to clients from a remote location, usually a home office. The benefit to the employer is the cost savings plus the flexibility over having an employee. Virtual Assistants generally have a wide skill set and can work ad-hoc for whatever hours are required or on a more fixed basis, for set hours per week or month.
Here are some examples of tasks I do as a Virtual Assistant:
*Input business income and expenditure into a spreadsheet or accounting software
*Organise, flag and label emails into categories - getting rid of junk while I'm at it!
*Manage a diary or appointment book
*Maintain customer records or a mailing list
*Research and book transport and accommodation
*Upload items to a website
*Support with scheduling social media posts and managing messages
*Transferring paper records into digital
*Form filling
*Researching suppliers
*Paying bills and invoicing
*Assistance to research and organise small events
*Email, phone calls and letter writing
